Elounda

A Place in Peoples Hearts

It has been a while and a busy time.

The Village is getting bigger, lots of renovations lovely bars and restaurants wonderful food experiences.

It is peak season now and its bustling but still there are places you can go to relax and forget the stress of life.

The time has passed seeing new ventures come and go, and others taking their place, a never ending chameleon shedding its skin and evolving year by year.

The improvement has been slow but finally things are changing, putting investment in making it grow rather than just taking out.

Bravo Eloundians finally….

Kolokitha in the winter… yes it is lovely

In the winter months when everyone has gone home and without the barbeque boats kolokitha is a lovely spot and if you feel like a bit of exercise and its a lovely day it is a wonderful walk.

Somethings never change too much… and its a blessing

A Very Flowery Easter

Our Squareabout in Elounda

We were so proud of our new roundabout in the square helping to cause traffic chaos, they also on the other end of the road built us a squareabout, this one is anyones guess… it was so funny watching the stall holders from the market navigate this one…they were all going in the wrong direction a free for all but very funny to watch.

One of the bar owners has put bollards on both sides of the road so no one can park anywhere  near their bar, I dont think they want customers as there is no where to park on the other side as the delivery trucks and local cars are taking all the space. so they cant stop…. so the tourists carry on through to Plaka loads of parking there….. When will they learn there is land that could be just used for parking but will they…….

Its so Peaceful and calm
